In the Settings area of the Traffic Analysis and Audit page, click the Traffic Analysis Task

Management link.
NTA displays all tasks in the Traffic Analysis Task List displayed in the main pane of the Task
Management page.

In the Task Name field of the Traffic Analysis Task List whose Task Type is Application, click the
contents to view the details for an individual task.
Traffic analysis task details contents

Task Name—Contains the name of the task.

Task Description—Contains the description for the associated task.

Server—Contains the name or IP address of the NTA server.

Task Type—Identifies the traffic analysis task type, which can be interface, VLAN, probe,
application, host, VPN, or inter-business.

Reader—Identifies the groups in IMC that have been granted access to read the reports
generated by the associated task.

Baseline Analysis—Indicates whether the Baseline Analysis feature is enabled for the task. If
the Baseline Analysis field is not displayed, the Baseline Analysis feature is disabled in the

NTA parameters. For more information on configuration options for the NTA server, including

the Baseline Analysis feature, see "

."

Application Information—Identifies all of the applications configured for reporting in the
associated application traffic analysis task.

Interface Information—Identifies all of the interfaces configured for reporting in the

associated application traffic analysis task.

Probe Information—Identifies all of the probes configured for reporting in the associated
application traffic analysis task.

Click Back to return to the Traffic Analysis Task List.

Adding an application traffic analysis task

1.

Select Service > Traffic Analysis and Audit > Settings.

2.

In the Settings area of the Traffic Analysis and Audit page, click the Traffic Analysis Task

Management link.
NTA displays all tasks in the Traffic Analysis Task List in the main pane of the Task Management
page.

3.

Click Add.
The Add Traffic Analysis Task page appears.

4.

Next to Application on the Select Task Type area, click the option to add an application traffic
analysis task.

5.

Click Next.
The Add Traffic Analysis Task page is refreshed.

6.

Enter a name for this task in the Task Name field.
The task name must be unique.
