6. SETTINg THE LCd BACKLIgHT
(N-8600MS only)
ON/OFF of the N-8600MS’s LCD backlight can be set.
Step 1. Press the Menu key to place the display in setting
mode.
Step 2. Use the down arrow key or the [5] key to move the
cursor to "5: LCD BACKLIGHT."
Step 3. Press the Select key.
The current setting is indicated with the cursor.
Step 4. Press the left or right arrow key to move the cursor to
"ON," "OFF," or "AUTO."
Shown below are the setting contents.
ON: Always ON (Default factory setting)
OFF: Always OFF
AUTO: OFF in standby mode, ON during use, OFF 5
seconds after being placed in standby mode
after use.
Step 5. Press the Select key.
The setting changes to the one indicated with the
cursor.
Step 6. Press the Menu key to return the display to its normal
standby mode.
