DISABLE AUTHENTICATION

Syntax

disable authentication

Parameters

None.

Description

This command disables TACACS+ and RADIUS manager account
authentication on a switch or stack. When you disable authentication you
retain your current authentication parameter settings.

Note

This command applies only to the TACACS+ and RADIUS manager
accounts. Disabling authentication means that you must use the
default manager accounts of manager and operator to manage the
switch. This command does not affect 802.1x port-based access
control.

Example

The following command disables TACACS+ and RADIUS manager
account authentication on the switch:

disable authentication

Description

This AlliedWare Plus command is identical to the standard command.

Example

This example disables manager account authentication on the switch:

awplus> enable
awplus# configure terminal
