9.10. Calibration of Optional Sensors

This section presents calibration procedures for the O

2

sensor option and for the CO

2

sensor option.

9.10.1. O

2

Sensor Calibration

Calibration begins with connecting the zero and span gases, then setting the
concentration values.

9.10.1.1. O

2

Calibration Setup

Bottled gases are connected as follows:

Figure 9-13:

O

2

SENSOR ZERO GAS: Teledyne Analytical Instruments recommends using pure N

2

when calibrating the zero point of your O

2

sensor option.

2

SENSOR SPAN GAS: Teledyne Analytical Instruments recommends using 20.9%

O

in N

when calibration the span point of your O

2

sensor.

9.10.1.2. Set O

2

Span Gas Concentration

Set the expected O

2

span gas concentration.

This should be equal to the percent concentration of the O

2

span gas of the selected

reporting range (default factory setting = 20.9%; the approximate O

2

content of ambient

air).
