Dilution Ratio Option
allows the user to compensate for diluted
sample gas, such as in continuous emission monitoring (CEM) where
the quality of gas in a smoke stack is being tested and the sampling
method used to remove the gas from the stack dilutes the gas.

1.5. Configurations
There are three configurations available: the standard analyzer and two with options.
The standard unit consists of:
A modified 6400T Fluorescent SO
2
Analyzer
The M501TS High Temperature Thermal Converter
External Span, Internal Zero with High-performance Charcoal Scrubber for
Zero.
See Figure 1-1 for the pneumatic diagram, and Section 1.6 for details on the M501TS.
Another configuration consists of:
Standard unit (described above)
Internal Zero/Span (IZS) Option with H
2
S permeation tube.
The IZS option uses sample gas (passed through a special, high-performance charcoal
scrubber) to dilute H
2
S from the perm tube for span calibration checks. See Figure 1-2
for the pneumatic diagram.
The third configuration consists of:
Standard unit (described above)
External M702 calibrator
The M702 calibrator option blends tanks of H
2
S span gas with the processed CO
2
.
