Hold State

In general when the hold state option is selected the unit will

continue to function based on the last known state of the network

commands. This will require the unit to function slightly differently

dependent on the logic mask selected, and the number of IntelliVAC

MC units which are connected.

Mask Network

Logic mask 1 is considered a direct command mask; this means that

the commands are acted upon directly without the use of

DeviceLogix. If the Hold state option is selected as well as logic

mask 1 all contactors will simply retain their current state until a

connection is re-established and a command is given to change their

state. Only 1 IB option has this mask.

Note:

In logic mask 1 a “Net Start” command will be considered an

“energize IB-OUTA” command and a “net stop” command

will either be considered a “de-energize IB-OUTA”

(electrically held contactor) or a “energize IB-OUTB”

(mechanically latched contactor)

Mask DeviceLogix

Logic mask 2 requires the functionality of DeviceLogix in order to

create direct commands to the contactor(s). As such, it is possible

that when communication is lost, that the DeviceLogix code may be

in the process of executing a sequence of timed commands. If this

occurs the IntelliVAC Plus will assume all network inputs to be

unchanged and continue to execute the DeviceLogix logic. It is

important that if a network command is required in the logic for a

critical event, (one that could cause damage if not executed in a

certain time frame, i.e. the transition of an autotransformer which is

only rated to carry current for 15 seconds) that sufficient logic be

built into the DeviceLogix logic such that if a command is not

received within the critical time the logic will abort the start

sequence.

Reset State

If the RESET STATE option is selected and the selected logic mask

is 1, or 2 the IE will reset all outputs to the OFF (0) state and wait

until a network connection is established, at which point it will begin

executing logic as if power had been cycled on the IE unit.
