Updating the IntelliVAC Plus using Control Flash
In order to update the firmware of the IntelliVAC Plus module using
DeviceNet you will need the following:
1. Personal computer equipped with a DeviceNet interface such as
a 1784-PCD or 1770-KFD
2. RS-Links Software
3. Control Flash Software
4. A functioning device net network including 24VDC DeviceNet
power supply.
Flashing FW using Control Flash
• Browse DeviceNet network using RSLinx to ensure that the
network is communicating correctly and the IntelliVAC Plus is
found

• Once you have verified that your network is functioning correctly
by finding the IntelliVAC Plus open Control flash software
• Select “Next” at the opening screen, you will then be prompted to
locate the firmware file to be flashed. Select the “Browse” option
and locate the firmware file which has been supplied by Rockwell
technical support. Once this is complete select “Next”
• A browser window similar to RSLinx will appear select the
IntelliVAC Plus then select “OK”
