Description of Features

1503-UM054C-EN-P – June 2013

MC Altitude Setting Warning

This is a Warning condition which indicates that the Altitude DIP switch

settings on the Basic modules in an MC system (one [1] Basic module on

the IntelliVAC Plus module and up to four [4] Basic modules on the

IntelliVAC MC units) are not all set to the same value. This is an issue

because all of the contactors in an MC system will be installed at the same

altitude so that there would not be a reason for each of the contactors to

have different altitude settings. Because of this all of the units must have

the same altitude settings. Having incorrect settings for altitude will cause

the coil currents, for contactors with the incorrect altitude settings, from

being correct thus preventing proper closure of the contactor (too little

current) or causing contactor damage (too much coil current).

The Plus status LED is pulsing Green with a pattern of 7 pulses.

In RESET Mode or Firmware (F/W) Crash

This is a Fault condition which indicates that the IntelliVAC Plus is

in RESET mode or that the F/W has crashed and is no longer

operating correctly. To alleviate this problem, the mains power

and/or the DeviceNet power should be cycled.

The Plus status LED is solid Red or it could be Green or it could be

Yellow or it could be pulsing between Red and Yellow or pulsing

between Green and Yellow. The reason for this variation is that the

Plus status LED is actually comprised of two individual internal

LEDs; a Red LED and a Green LED. During a RESET mode the

Red LED is forced on but the Green LED will be off. However,

during a F/W crash both the Red and Green LEDs will be under

control of runaway F/W which could cause any of the two LEDs to

be turned on at any time. This F/W crash condition will be short

lived because protection circuitry will eventually force the

IntelliVAC Plus module into RESET which will cause the Plus status

LED to be Red only.

POST Failure – RAM

This is a Fault condition which indicates that the internal RAM of

the IntelliVAC Plus module is faulty. This will prevent proper

operation of the firmware. Because of this the product firmware

cannot be executed.

The Plus status LED is pulsing Red with a pattern of 2 pulses.
