Description of Features

1503-UM054C-EN-P – June 2013

Note

: Close and Jog are for an Electrically Held contactor and Close

and Trip are for a Mechanically Latched contactor.

The Close or Jog commands are re-applied before the contactor

opening sequence can be verified. Once a Close or Jog command are

issued, the commands must be removed for a period of at least

60mS, plus the Drop Out Delay time, before re-applying the

commands (see Figure 5.5 for a timing representation of the

contactor control commands).

Note

: The contactor will only respond to a close command re-

application after the re-start delay timer has expired (see Delayed

Restart in Chapter 4 for an explanation of the Delayed Restart

Timer).

The Close and Trip commands are present simultaneously (valid for

Mechanical Latch contactors only).

This condition is valid for both Electrically Held and Mechanically

Latched contactors.

Mechanical Latch Fail to Trip

This is a Warning condition and the status of the Trip coil

circuits/wiring should be analyzed.

This indicates that the Basic module within the IntelliVAC Plus unit

has a warning due to a Mechanical Latch contactor not tripping off

after being given a Trip command and the status of the contactor

being controlled is in a Closed condition.

The Module status LED is Yellow to indicate a module with warning

level problems and the Module status relay is closed to allow

externally connected circuits to function.

The Contactor status LED is Yellow to indicate that the contactor is

in a Closed condition and the Contactor status relay is closed to

reflect the status of the contactor thus allowing externally connected

circuits to function.

This condition is valid for Mechanically Latched contactors only.

Power up with Contactor CLOSED

After TDUV, if the module can not detect the contactor is dropped

off source the power supply is still lost/low, this fault condition

would also be triggered.
