ANALOG GLOBAL - INTEGRAL

MODE

SLIDING WINDOW

Assume that we want to know
the average kW demand of a
building over a 30 minute time
period. The WCC III system
will take a kW reading at
programmed time intervals; for
example, 1 reading every three
minutes. The value of the analog
global will be the average kW
for the 10 most recent readings.
To understand this mode better,
think of the data as being in a
“window” which moves along
the time axis and has the 10
most recent kW readings in it.
The value of the analog global
is the average of the kW values
that are in the window. As the
next kW reading becomes

available, the oldest kW reading in the window drops off and is no
longer included in the data set which is used to determine the value
of the global analog.
