Description
The ID? query returns the current remote language to the controller (for example, “HP8563E”).
The response value is determined by your remote language selection. This is configured via the
selection in the front-panel Mode Setup menu when in N9061A mode. The remote language selection
can also be set using the SCPI command :SYSTem:LANGuage (see
"Mode Setup" on page 886 ).
ID? also works when the instrument is not in N9061A mode. In this case the instrument model
number is returned. The string that is returned is identical to the second field of text that is
returned from the *IDN? command.
