Reading a Drive Parameter

Two points are defined for reading any drive parameter:
• Point 70 specifies the parameter to be read from
• Point 71 reports the value of the parameter specified in Point 70
When this point is read, it retrieves data from the parameter and sends it to the controller.
Example:
Writing a value of 387 (183 hex) to Point 70 specifies drive parameter b1-04. Reading Point 71 returns the current setting of

parameter b1-04 to the controller.

Writing to a Drive Parameter

Two points are defined for writing to any drive parameter:
• Point 72 specifies the parameter to be written to
• Point 73 is the entry location of the value to be written to the parameter specified in Point 72
When this point is written to, it will write the value to the drive. An enter or accept command does not need to be sent for the

data to be taken by the drive. The behavior of the write is the same as with the HOA keypad. If the drive is running, there are

a limited number of drive parameters that can be written to.
Example:
Writing a value of 387 (183 hex) to Point 72 specifies drive parameter b1-04. Writing a value of 1 to Point 73 enables the

drive for reverse run.
