5.6.4 Record selection: Carrying out a record
A record can be started in the Drive enabled" state. This
function is usually used for:
ć Moving to any position from positions in the record list,
ć Processing a positioning profile by linking records,
ć Known target positions that seldom change (formulation
change).
Sequence
1. Set the desired record number in the output data of the
master. Until the start, the controller replies with the
number of the record last processed.
2. With a rising edge at START (CPOS.B1) the controller
accepts the record number and starts the positioning job.
3. The controller signals with the rising edge at Acknow−
ledge Start" that the PLC output data has been accepted
and the positioning job is now active. The positioning
command will be processed irrespective of whether
CPOS.B1 START has been reset to zero or not.
4. When the record is concluded, SPOS.B2 MC is set.
Causes of faults:
ć Homing has not been carried out.
ć The target position is unreachable.
ć Invalid record number.
