Data type
The transmitted value (1, 2 or 4 data bytes as hex number)
depends on the data type of the object to be read or written.
The following data types are supported:
Type Hex Format
UINT8 2H 8 bits without sign: 0...255
INT8 8 bits with sign: −128 ... 127
UINT16 4H 16 bits without sign: 0 ... 65535
INT16 16 bits with sign: −32768 ... 32767
UINT32 8H 32 bits without sign: 0 ... (2 32 − 1)
INT32 32 bits with sign: −2 31 ... +(2 31 − 1)
V−string Corresponds to the preset string

All values are transferred in hexadecimal digits; one character
represents 4 bits; and is known as a tetrad <Tn>. The first tet−
rad transferred contains the higher−value bits of the value.
