Step 2: Use BESTCOMSPlus to configure the BESTlogicPlus Programmable Logic shown in Figure

270. Note that OUT3 (Running) should never close during the incomplete sequence test.

Figure 270. BESTlogicPlus Settings

Step 3: Prepare to monitor 48 function operation. Operation can be verified by monitoring OUT1 (Trip).

See Figure 270.

Step 4: Connect a three-phase current source to terminals D1 and D2 (IA), D3 and D4 (IB), and D5 and

D6 (IC).

Step 5: Apply 10 Aac three-phase current (simulate motor starting). Verify that OUT4 (Starting) is

closed during timing. Measure and record the time from when current is applied until OUT1
(Trip) closes. The expected timing is 60 seconds. Verify that there is a 48 target on the front-
panel display at Metering > Status > Targets.

Step 6: Remove three-phase current and wait until thermal capacity falls to 0% before proceeding.

Verify that OUT4 (Starting) is open and OUT5 (Stopped) is closed. Reset all targets.
