25.32 router-id

Use this command to set the router-id to the supplied IP address; the router uses this address to

generate the LDP-ID.

Use the no parameter with this command to revert to using the first IP address configured on the

box as the router-id for LDP-ID generation purposes.


Command Syntax

(no) router-id

A.B.C.D

Syntax description

A.B.C.D

The new IP address.

This command has no default settings.

Examples

In the following example, the router-id command is used to set the router-id to the supplied IP

address:

Switch# configure router

Switch(config)# router ldp

Switch(config-router)# router-id 123.123.123.8
