User Guidelines

This command has no user guidelines.

Example

The following command manually initiates a re-authentication of the 802.1x-enabled port.

console# dot1x re-authenticate ethernet 1/g16

dot1x re-authentication

Use the dot1x re-authentication command in Interface Configuration mode to enable periodic
re-authentication of the client. To return to the default setting, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

dot1x re-authentication

no dot1x re-authentication

Default Configuration

Periodic re-authentication is disabled.

Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode

User Guidelines

This command has no user guidelines.

Example

The following example enables periodic re-authentication of the client.

console(config)# interface ethernet 1/g16

console(config-if-1/g16)# dot1x re-authentication

dot1x system-auth-control

Use the dot1x system-auth-control command in Global Configuration mode to enable 802.1x
globally. To disable 802.1x globally, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

dot1x system-auth-control

no dot1x system-auth-control
