For the input level, select whether you want a fault to be detected when the input signal is ON (normally

open input) or OFF (normally closed input).

D

For the detection method, select whether you want faults to be detected any time that the Inverter is ON

or only during operation.

D

For the operation selection, select the processing method that you want to be performed when a fault

has been detected.

Deceleration to stop: A fault is output and the output stopped in the selected deceleration time.

Coast to stop: A fault is output and the Inverter output is cut off.

Emergency stop: A fault is output and the output stopped in the emergency stop time (C1-09).

Continue operation: An alarm is output and operation continues.

D

When an alarm is going to be output externally, be sure to set one of the multi-function outputs (H2-01,

02, and 03) to alarm (setting 10).

D

An external fault setting cannot be set in more than one multi-function input.

D

Unlike other constant settings, the external fault settings have an input procedure, as shown in the fol-

lowing diagrams.

Setting Procedure

1. When setting an external fault function, press the Enter Key when “External Fault” is displayed to bring

up the “Input Level” display.
