To display the register name, press [Reg Name Display],
turning it on.

Settings names to show on the display

You can set the names to display when menu shortcuts or
utility commands are assigned to cross-point buttons.

When a macro register is assigned, the names specified in
the Macro menu are displayed on the display. When a
shotbox register is assigned, the names specified in the
Shotbox menu are displayed on the display.

In the Engineering Setup >Panel >Prefs/Utility >Xpt
Module Assign menu (7324.2), select the target button
to set.

Press [Name].

Enter a name of up to 8 characters in the keyboard
window, and press [Enter].

Settings Relating to
Device Connections

Setting the Control Mode for P-Bus
Devices

In the <P-Bus Control> group of the Engineering Setup
>Panel >Device Interface menu (7325), select the protocol
mode.

Trigger:

When a predetermined button is pressed, the

action command assigned to that button is output to
control an external device.

Timeline:

The external device is controlled as a keyframe

effect controlled by the control panel.

Assigning the Target Port to a
Channel Selection Button

You can assign an SIU serial port or a network port to the
channel selection buttons (CH1 to CH12).
This allows you to operate a device connected to the port
using the specified channel selection button.

For details about port settings, see “Configuring the
Connection Port of External Devices” (page 481).

In the Engineering Setup >Panel >Device Interface
menu (7325), press [Device Assign].

The Device Assign menu (7325.4) appears.

In the status area, select the target port to set.

In the <Assign> group, select the button (DEV CH1 to
DEV CH12) to which to assign the port.

[DEV CH1] to [DEV CH12] correspond to the [CH1]
to [CH12] channel selection buttons on the device
control block.

• It is not possible to assign the same port to more than

one button. The most recently set button is enabled.

• A port configured with a P-Bus compatible device

cannot be assigned to a button.
