WARNING

Probable Cause

Indicates that the number of Switch Connection Control (SCC) policy violations has risen above the high
boundary. SCC violations indicate that an unauthorized switch tried to join the fabric. The SCC_POLICY
contains a list of switches by World Wide Name (WWN) that are allowed to be members of a fabric.

Recommended

Action

Execute the errShow command to determine the WWN of the device that sent the request. Responses
to security-class messages depend on user policies. Consult your security administrator for response
strategies and policies.

INFO

Probable Cause

Indicates that the number of Device Connection Control (DCC) violations has changed. DCC violations
indicate that an unauthorized device tried to join the fabric. The DCC_POLICY allows for the specification
of rules for binding device ports (typically HBA ports) to specific switch ports. DCC policies ensure that
whenever a device performs a fabric login (FLOGI) request, the World Wide Name (WWN) specified in
the FLOGI is validated to be connected to the authorized port. Enforcement for private loop devices not
performing FLOGI is done through the name server.
