5.6.3 Connector

For the SGMG, SGMS, SGMD Types (See page 461 for the SGM and SGMP Types.)

Connectors are divided into the three types shown
in the figure: one encoder connector at both the
motor and SERVOPACK ends of the cable and a
motor connector at the motor end of the cable.
These connectors are common to both encoder
types (incremental and absolute encoders).

The connector type to be used differs according to
the following items:

• Straight plug or L-shaped plug

• Motor with or without brake

• Standard specifications or IP67 specifications

When ordering connectors, also check the motor
type and capacity as they affect the connector
type to be used.
