Adding an FCIP circuit

If you select Advanced Settings, the Transmission tab of the FCIP Circuit Advanced Settings
dialog box displays (

Clear the Selective Ack check box to disable selective acknowledgement. Do not clear the
check box if your system does not support selective acknowledgement..

Enter a value in the Keep Alive Time Out (ms) field to override the default value of 10000
ms. As shown, the range is from 500 through 7200000.

Enter a value in the Min. Retransmission Time (ms) field to override the default value of
100 ms. As shown, the range is from 20 through 2000.

Enter a value in the Max. Retransmits field to override the default value of 8. As shown, the
range is from 1 through 16.

Select L2CoS and DSCP priorities. Refer to

“QOS, DSCP, and VLANs”

on page 946 for more

information.

NOTE

For the Brocade 7840, select the L2CoS value from the list because the default value is
not predefined.

Select OK to save the settings and close the dialog box.

13. Click Apply on the Add FCIP Circuit dialog box to add the circuit and leave the dialog box open

to add additional circuits. Click OK to add the circuit and close the dialog box.

14. Click OK to close the Add FCIP Tunnel dialog box.
