Viewing SAN device properties

To view the properties for a device, complete the following steps.

1. Right-click any product icon and select Properties.

The Properties dialog box displays, with information related to the selected device (such as
switches, directors, HBAs, trunks, tunnels, and nodes).

To add user-defined property labels, refer to

“Adding a property field”

on page 1492.

Fields containing a green triangle ( ) in the lower-right corner are editable.

NOTE

Depending on the device type, some of the properties listed in the following table may not be
available for all products.

Field/Component

Description

Addressing Mode

The addressing mode of the switch.

Back to Edge Routing

Whether back to edge routing is supported.

Bandwidth

The bandwidth of the FCIP tunnel.

Capability

The node capability.

Compression

Whether compression is on or off for the FCIP tunnel.

Connected Virtual FCoE Port

The fabric name, switch name, and virtual FCoE port number of the
connected virtual FCoE port.

Contact

The primary contact at the customer site.

Contributors

The device contributors.

Device Type

Whether the device is an initiator or target.

Description

A description of the customer site.

Destination IP Address

The IP address of the of the FCIP tunnel destination device.

Discovery Status

The discovery status of the switch. Examples include “Discovered: Seed
Switch” and “Discovered: Not Reachable”.

Domain ID

The device’s domain ID, which is the top-level addressing hierarchy of
the domain.

Fabric

The fabric name.

Fabric Name

The name specified through the device Element Manager.

Fabric Watch

Whether Fabric Watch is up or down.

Factory Serial Number

The factory serial number.

Fastwrite

Whether fastwrite is on or off for the FCIP tunnel.

FC Port

The FC port of the FCIP tunnel.

FCoE Capable

Whether the device is Fibre Channel over Ethernet capable.

FCS Role

Whether FCS is supported.

Routing Policy

The routing policy configured on the switch.

Firmware

The firmware version.
