17.1.102.4 Parameterising the mains failure control

The parameters to be set before initial commissioning strongly depend on the used motor, the

moment of inertia of the drive and the drive configuration (single drive, drive system, master/slave

operation etc.) and must hence be adapted to the corresponding application case.

1. Measure the DC-bus voltage with an oscilloscope (channel 1).

Option 1: With a corresponding voltage divider at the terminals +UG, -UG.
Option 2: At the analog output terminals X3/O1U and X3/GA

• For this purpose, adapt the signal flow in order that the DC-bus voltage is provided via the

analog output 1: Go to the application level and connect the nDCVoltage_a signal of the

SB

LS_MotorInterface

to a free output of the application block (e.g. wFreeOut1). Then connect

this output in the IO level to the nOut1V_a input of the SB

LS_AnalogOutput

.

2. Measure the speed with an oscilloscope (channel 2) at the analog output terminals X3/O2U and

X3/GA.

• For this purpose, adapt the signal flow in order that the speed is provided via the analog

output 2: Go to the application level and connect the nMotorSpeedAct_a signal of the

SB

LS_MotorInterface

to a free output of the application block (e.g. wFreeOut2). Then connect

this output in the IO level to the nOut2V_a input of the SB

LS_AnalogOutput

.

3. Set the operating threshold for the mains failure control in

C00476/1

.

• Scaling: 100 % ≡ 1000 V
• Recommended setting: approx. 50 V above the reset threshold for undervoltage in the DC

bus (LU

off

).

• The operating thresholds for undervoltage (LU) and overvoltage (OU) depend on the setting

in

C00173

:

4. Set the voltage setpoint in

C00476/2

the DC-bus voltage is to be controlled to.

• Scaling: 100 % ≡ 1000 V
• Recommended setting: approx. 700 V 

C00476/2

= 70 %
