When guest auto-registration is disabled, the guest manager must log in to the self-service center to

register the preregistered guest account as a normal guest account. When guest auto-registration is

enabled, UAM automatically registers the guest account immediately after the account is preregistered,
and sends the account name and password to the guest via SMS and email. The sending result and the

QR code appear in the registration result page. Endpoint users can scan the QR code to get the

username and password of the guest. For more information about configuring guest auto-registration, see

"

Managing guest policies

."

To use the SMS and email function, first complete the following configuration:

Enable UAM to send SMS messages, and configure a correct telephone number or account name
for the guest. For more information, see "

Configuring SMS

."

Configure mail server settings. For more information, see HP Intelligent Management Center v7.0
Enterprise and Standard Platform Administrator Guide
. Make sure the email address configured for

the guest is valid.
