14.3.2

"IO" function

With this setting, the IO axis bus is used as a pure IO transmission medium, just like it the case for

the 9300 and 9400 device series.
The "IO" function is activated in

C02440/1

by selecting "3: IO".

• By setting the

LS_AxisBusIO

.bSetFail_DigOut input to TRUE, the IO axis bus is set to the

dominant level and for all nodes, the

LS_AxisBusIO

.bFail_DigIn output is set to TRUE.

• The

LS_AxisBusIO

.bResetFail input has no function.

• The

LS_AxisBusIO

.bResetFail_In output is always FALSE.

Note!

• "IO" function and

Data transfer axis bus

are mutually exclusive since with activated

"IO" function, a synchronisation of the internal time base is not possible (which is

required for a "safe" data transfer).

• The "IO" function must be set for all IO axis bus nodes.
• Triggering an error message with this function is only possible by function block

interconnection.

• Resetting an error message is not possible with this function.
