Squeeze the fiber clamp and the plug together with pliers until the fiber
clamp reaches the bottom of the plug.
Important: The lower jaw of the pliers must be seated on the recessed step
of the plug housing as shown in Figure 7B.3.

Important: Once the plug has been clamped it cannot be reclamped or
reused.
The cable clamp slides over the fiber optic plug housing to secure the fiber
optic cable.
