Inductive Load Noise Suppression
Select the noise suppressor according to load size and applied voltage.
Connect the noise suppressor as close to the load as possible.
For a small ac inductive load, such as a solenoid operated by a pushbutton
switch or a limit switch, connect the RC circuit as shown in Figure 7C.7.

For a large ac inductive load, such as a motor operated by a contactor,
connect a varistor in parallel with the RC circuit as shown in Figure 7C.8.
