Regardless of air conditioner or heat exchanger rating, be sure its blowers
and all other fans provide sufficient internal air flow.
Calculating the Temperature within the Cabinet
If you have a cabinet that contains an Operator Panel, allow for an
increase in ambient temperature of up to +5
°
C (10
°
F). If you have a
cabinet that contains modules other than the Operator Panel, allow for an
increase of up to +10
°
C (20
°
F).
Temperature information needed when designing a cabinet is listed with
the specifications for each module.
Design the cabinet so that temperature rise inside the cabinet, caused by
heat generation of the modules and other units mounted inside, will not
exceed allowable maximums.
Table 2A.B shows the heat generation wattages of each component or
module.
