The figures below show the wiring connections for the RS-232 interface

without hardware handshake. The arrows in the following figures indicate

the signal flow direction. Figure 8.3 shows the wiring connections when

the CNC is a DCE (Data Communication Equipment) device and the

peripheral is a DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) device.

Without hardware handshake, if the peripheral needs RR , connect the TR

(Terminal Ready) pin to the RR (Received Line Signal Detector - carrier

dated) pin on the peripheral. Figure 8.3 and Figure 8.4.
