Notes

You must reboot the host for channel management to activate.

When the channel management mode in the Adapter Information tab is set to

None, the Channel Mgmt tab is not displayed.

Configuring Channel Management for OCe11100–Series
Adapters

When you select an OCe11102 adapter port with channel management enabled, the

Channel Mgmt tab is available.

Note: The Channel Mgmt tab shows the settings for the configured channel

management mode after reboot. This may not match the mode that is currently

running on the adapter if you have changed the mode in the Adapter

Information tab, but have not rebooted.

To manage the ports for an OCe11102 adapter:
1. Select a host in the vSphere console tree-view and select the Emulex OneCommand

tab.

2. In the Emulex Device Management tree-view, select the adapter port for which you

want to manage channels.

3. Select the Channel Mgmt tab. The Channel Mgmt tab is displayed.

4. Make appropriate changes to the LPVID, Min BW%, and Max BW% values in

accordance with the guidelines that follow.

5. Click Apply. A reboot is not required.

Channel Mgmt Field Definitions

Channel Management Type – Channel management protocol type in use.

Funct# – Function number used to identify a specific channel.
