Updating Router Details

How to Update Router Physical Levels Using the ‘PhysLevel’ Table

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘PhysLevels’. The ‘PhysLevels’

table appears, as shown in Figure 7-23.
To narrow the list of physical levels that display, enter the first characters of a physical level
name in the ‘Name Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display only levels match-
ing that character string.

Not all of the columns display in one screen. Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to
view columns to the right or left.

3 Click on the row under each column heading to activate the field and enter or update informa-

tion for that column:

Input Start

Logical number this physical level starts and ends
with for inputs.
Important: These numbers must match the number

entered as the ‘Controller Input’ ‘start’ and ‘end’ in
UniConfig when the router was configured. For
more information, see the UniConfig User’s Guide.

Typically 0 or 1

Input End

Output Start

Logical number this physical level starts and ends
with for outputs.
Important: These numbers must match the number

entered as the ‘Controller Output’ ‘start’ and ‘end’
in UniConfig when the router was configured. For
more information, see the UniConfig User’s Guide.

Typically 0 or 1

Output End

Input Protect

Protects and/or locks inputs. When locked it cannot

be changed. When protected, changes can only be
made with proper authorization. See

Locking and

Protecting Panels

on page 232.

From the drop-down list, select:
Disabled

Removes protection

and unlock.
In Server

Enables protection

and lock in the server.
