Deleting Level Sets
Level sets can be deleted at any time. Deleting a level set removes it completely from the NV9000-
SE system. Any routers or devices associated with a level set remain in the system unless individu-
ally and separately deleted. Once deleted, there is no “undo” function; the configuration is perma-
nently removed. To implement configuration changes, including deletions, the configuration must
be written to the system controller. For instructions, see
Implementing Configuration Changes
NV9000-SE uses a relational database. This means that if a record is referenced by another record,
the deletion will not be allowed. If there are dependences, when the deletion is attempted, NV9000-
SE informs you of the dependencies. Delete the dependencies first, then delete the originally
selected record.
Be careful when deleting level sets. Level sets enable a large number and wide variety of devices to
communicate with each other. Removing a level set currently in use can disrupt inter-device com-
munication.
Level sets can be deleted using the ‘Level Sets’ page accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane or
using the ‘Level Sets’ table or ‘Level Set Details’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane.
How to Delete a Level Set Using the ‘Level Sets’ Page
