16. Tielines

Locating and Viewing Existing Tieline Details

To narrow the list, enter the first characters of the tieline’s name in the ‘Name Filter’ field. The
list is automatically reduced to display only tielines matching the character string.

The ‘Name’ column lists the name assigned the tieline in NV9000-SE.

Edit Selected Tieline

. Use the

‘Shift’ or ‘Ctrl’ key on your keyboard to select multiple tielines. Each tieline opens in a sepa-
rate tabbed window. Click the tab to bring the window forward.
In the ‘Upstream’ and ‘Downstream’ areas of the screen, the following sections display infor-
mation, as follows:

Section

Description

PhysLevel

The routers or physical devices available. The checked router/device is included in

the tieline and represented in the ‘Graph’ section of the screen.

Virtual Levels

The virtual levels associated with the device. If checked, the level and corresponding
signal types are “bound” to the tieline. (See

Signal Binding

on page 458.)

Signal Types

For each virtual level selected, the signal types associated with that virtual level
display.

Graph

Located in the center of the screen, this section provide a graphical representation of
the ports connected to create the tieline, including specific port numbers.
