Defining General Purpose I/O (GPIO) Connections
Using this dialog box, from the drop-down list, select to have an event signalled when a transi-
tion occurs on the input from “on” to “off” (‘Input ON
→ Input OFF’) or from “off” to “on”
(‘Input OFF
→ Input ON’). For example, the NV9575-VF can be configured to recognize
either occurrence on any of the 32 inputs, and specify the salvo to execute at either occurrence
or both. In addition, one or more input transitions in relay output expressions can be included.

12 In the ‘Outputs’ section, click on any of the four
INPUT
buttons to select it. (See Figure 11-36.)
The ‘Input GPI Configuration’ dialog box appears:

Choose what ‘Action to Trigger When Input Transitions From On to Off’ and ‘Action to Trig-
ger When Input Transitions From Off to On’. The control panel can be configured to recognize
either occurrence on any of the 8 inputs, and specify one of three behaviors for each event or
both.
Select the radio button to activate that option:
• Execute a salvo
—
Select a salvo ID in the salvo drop-down list.
• Route the previous source to a destination
—
Select a destination in the destination drop-
down list.
• Route the “previous source” switched by this control panel to a destination
—
Select a
destination in the destination drop-down list, even if it is the same as the current source.
One or more input transitions can be included in a relay output expression.
• Route a source to a destination
—
Select a ‘Src’ (source) and a ‘Dest’ (destination) from
the drop-down lists.

to save your changes and close the dialog box

A ‘Previous Source’ command in a salvo chooses the most recent source
that is different from the current source (for a designated destination).
