Excluding Crosspoints
Excluding Crosspoints
Crosspoint exclusions prevent certain sources from being connected to certain destinations. The
‘XPTExclusions’ table lists all crosspoint exclusions defined in your configuration. Using this
table, crosspoint exclusions can be added, deleted or changed.
Crosspoint exclusions must be defined in low-level detail. The exclusion connectivity is point-to-
point and port-to-port. To completely exclude a source from a destination, all physical levels of that
source must be excluded.
S
Example: You want to completely exclude 6 sources from 12 destinations on 5 virtual levels
(SD, AES1/2, AES3/4, AES5/6, and AES7/8), which means there would be 6 × 12 × 5 = 360
exclusions. Each exclusion specifies two ports, so there are 720 ports to manage!
