Deleting a User
Deleting a User
An user can be deleted at any time using the ‘Users’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane. Be
careful when deleting a user. If the user is actively being referenced by a control panel, the user will
no longer display to the operator. In addition, control commands, such as removing locks and pro-
tects, are removed with the user name.
NV9000-SE uses a relational database. This means that if a record is referenced by another record,
the deletion will not be allowed. If there are dependences, when the deletion is attempted, NV9000-
SE informs you of the dependencies. Delete the dependencies first, then delete the originally
selected record.
How to Delete a User
1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See
Launching and Exiting the Application
2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Users’. The ‘Users’ table appears,
as shown in Figure 19-4.
All users currently defined in the system are listed. To narrow the list, enter the first characters
of the user’s name in the ‘Name Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display only
users matching that character string.
