Changing Virtual Levels and Signal Types

The virtual levels associated with a tieline can be changed at any time. Virtual levels and signals for
a specific connection are viewed by clicking on the arrow in the ‘Graph’ section that represents the
connection. As each arrow is selected, the ‘Virtual ‘Levels’ and ‘Signal Types’ sections populate
with the currently selected virtual levels and signal types for that port.

Virtual levels and signal types must be compatible between devices. For example, you cannot route
an HD signal from and upstream device to a downstream device that only manages audio signals.

Virtual levels and signal types are changed using the ‘Tieline’ page, accessed through the ‘Configu-
ration’ pane.

How to Change a Tieline Virtual Level or Signal Type

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Tielines’. The ‘Tielines’

page displays, as shown in Figure 16-17. All tielines currently defined in the system are listed.
To narrow the list, enter the first characters of the tieline’s name in the ‘Name Filter’ field. The
list is automatically reduced to display only tielines matching that character string.
