Updating Master Control Details

Updating a Master Control Host

The master control processor’s host can be changed using the ‘Routers’ table accessed through the
‘Views’ pane. You can only select from a list of existing hosts.

How to Update a Router Host

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Routers’. The ‘Routers’ table

appears, as shown in Figure 12-10.
To narrow the list of master control processors that display, enter the first characters of a master
control processor name in the ‘Name Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display
only master control processors matching that character string.

3 On the row listing the master control processor being updated, from the drop-down list in the

‘Primary Host’ column, select a new host.

4 Click

Save

Updating Control Points for Master Control

Control points (also called control ports) are serial or Ethernet ports in the NV9000 server through
which master control processors, routers, panels, and other devices are connected. At any time, the
control point associated with a master control processor can be updated. However, the updated con-
