Device Connections Queries

Exporting a Device Query

Queries run using the ‘Device Physical Connections’ table can be exported for viewing outside the
NV9000-SE system. Each device is exported as a separate file. For example, if five devices are
listed in the table, five files will be created and exported.

How to Export a Device Query

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane, then ‘Queries & Advanced Operations’ and

then ‘Device Physical Connections’. The ‘Device Physical Connections’ table displays, as
shown in

Device Phys Conns Table with Results

on page 186.

3 Select a level set from the ‘Select Level Set for Query’ drop-down list. All devices within that

level set display, as shown in Figure 9-23. For more information on virtual levels, see

4 Click

Export

. The ‘Save’ dialog box appears.

5 On the dialog box, browse to the location where you want the exported files saved.
6 Enter a ‘File Name’ for the exported files in the field provided and click

Save

. The files are cre-

ated at saved to the location selected. All files are titled with the name entered in Step 5, with
the addition of a sequencing number.

7 Click

X

on the window title tab to close the table.
