NV9608
Configurable Functions
The NV9608 can be configured to perform the following functions:
• Breakaway and level map status for up to 7 levels at glance. (Other levels can be displayed by
scrolling.)
•
Previous Source
,
Free Source
, and “Quick” Source.
•
Lock/Release
and
Protect/Release
for both sources and destinations.
• Return to a pre-defined (or default) state.
• Hold breakaway levels or multiple destinations.
• System salvos and local salvos.
• Change panel ID and button illumination.
• In a multiple-panel configuration, a
Force Release
of a locked or protected device can be config-
ured for each NV9608. However, note that Normal Release and Force Release are mutually
exclusive on the same panel.
Additional Control Panel Features
The following additional features are provided:
• The NV9608 supports multiple source breakaways in X-Y mode. This lets you route multiple
sources to the same destination
—
on different levels.
• The panel supports gang or dub switching in multi-destination mode. The operator may route
single or multiple sources to multiple destinations in a single operation.
The NV9608’s 8 LCD buttons can be green (for sources), amber (for destinations), yellow, or red.
Each button provides three levels of tally: off, low, and high. Through the menu, high tally can be
set at high or medium brightness and low tally can be set at low or medium brightness, where high
tally is constrained to be brighter than low tally.
Red generally indicates that a failure has occurred or would occur. For instance, if a destination or a
level cannot be switched, its LCD button tallies red. If a device is locked by another user, the button
will tally red also.
The NV9616’s 24 function buttons and two scroll buttons have LED illumination. The buttons can
be green (for sources) or amber (for destinations). Each button provides three levels of tally: off,
low, and high. (You can adjust the levels of low and high tally, through the menu. LED brightness
levels range from 0% to 100%, in 10% increments, with high tally constrained to be brighter than
low tally.)
If you assign an X-Y/Multi-Destination button on your panel, it is a toggle: press it once for X-Y
mode (it turns green) and press it again for Multi-Destination (it turns amber).
