8. Level Sets

Locating and Viewing Level Sets

3 Click

Add

. A new, blank row appears below the existing rows. An ID number is automatically

assigned and appears in the ‘ID’ column.

4 Click on the ‘Name’ field to activate it and enter the name of the new level set.
5 Click

Save

to save your changes.

The level set name and ID is added to the NV9000-SE system, but the virtual and physical lev-
els are not defined. To add levels, locate the level set and perform steps 4 through 8 as described
in

Locating and Viewing Level Sets

Depending on the information you want to view, different pages or tables present different level set
information:

• ‘Level Sets’ page (accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane)

A list of existing level sets.

Opens the ‘Level Set Details’ page through which virtual level and physical level details for a
selected level set can be viewed. Locate level sets by name.

• Two level set tables (accessed through the ‘Views’ pane):

• ‘Level Sets’ table

A list of existing level sets, one per row, with name and ID. Locate

level sets by Name.

• ‘Level Set Details’ table

A list of virtual levels and associated level set, one virtual level

per row, with physical levels, free source and index number. Locate level sets by name,
virtual levels or by physical levels.

• ‘Virtual Levels’ table (accessed through the ‘Views’ pane)

A list of all virtual levels, whether

or not associated with a level set, one virtual level per row, with name and ID. Locate level sets
by virtual levels.

How to Locate and View Level Sets Using the ‘Level Sets’ Page

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Level Sets’. The ‘Level

Sets’ page displays, as shown in Figure 8-5.
