8. Level Sets
Updating Level Sets
Index numbers must be unique (no duplicates) within a level set. Gaps within an index numbering
sequence are allowed. Gaps appear as “spaces” between lines in the display. For example, HD can
be assigned index number 1, SD assigned 2, AES 1/2 assigned 4, and AES 3/4 assigned 5, creating
a “space” between video and audio signals on the display.
Index numbers are updated using the ‘Level Sets’ page accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane.
How to Update the Level Set Index Number

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Level Set Details’. The ‘Level Set
Details’ table appears, as shown in Figure 8-28.
To narrow the list of level sets that display, enter the first characters of a level set name in the
‘Level Set Filter’ field.
Or
Enter the first characters of a virtual level name in the ‘Virtual Level Filter’ field.
Or
Enter the first characters of a physical level name in the ‘Phys Level Filter’ field.

3 On the row listing the level set being updated, click in the ‘Index’ column to activate it and
enter a new index number. The number must be numeric (no letters or characters) and limited to
9 digits.
