Device Connections Queries

How to Add a Device Using the ‘Query Phys Conns’ Table

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane, then ‘Queries & Advanced Operations’ and

then ‘Device Physical Connections’. The ‘Device Physical Connections’ table displays, as
shown in

Device Phys Conns Table with Results

on page 185.

3 Select a level set from the ‘Select Level Set for Query’ drop-down list. All devices within that

level set display, as shown in Figure 9-22. For more information on virtual levels, see

4 In the blank row, in the ‘Device’ column enter the name of the device.
5 In the same row, enter the device’s input or output number associated with a virtual level. Each

virtual level displays as a single column in the table, divided into ‘Inputs’ and ‘Outputs’. The
number is the number of the physical port where the cable connects from the device to the
