10. Categories
Adding Categories
Categories can be added using a wizard, page, or table. Each performs specific tasks:
• ‘Add Category’ wizard (accessed through the ‘Tasks’ pane) — A step-by-step guide to add a
single category. Opens the ‘Category Details’ page through which categories are created.
• ‘Categories’ page (accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane) — A list of existing categories to
which a new category can be added. Opens the ‘Category Details’ page through which catego-
ries are defined.
• ‘Categories’ table (accessed through the ‘Views’ pane) — A list of existing categories, one per
row, with name and description. A category file can be added using this table, with name and
description, but the category cannot be defined. That must be done through the ‘Category
Details’ page accessed through ‘Categories’ page.
Categories are added in two steps. First the category is created; second the suffixes are defined for
the category. (See
Adding Suffixes to Categories on page 195.)
How to Add a Category
Use the ‘Add Category’ wizard or ‘Categories’ page.

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Tasks’ pane and then ‘Add Category’.
Or
From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Categories’. The ‘Catego-
ries’ page displays. On the ‘Categories’ page, click
Add Category .
Note Devices must first be added before a category can be created. See Adding a
Device on page 159.
