11. Control Panels

Adding a Control Panel

4 In the ‘Button Layout’ section, select a blank button and then in the ‘Button Definitions’ sec-

tion, select a definition for the button from the drop-down list. The button definition appears on
the selected button in the ‘Button Layout’ section. Buttons in the left-hand section (32 total)
may only be assigned Destination, Level, Salvo, Source and Undefined. The buttons that appear
in the right-hand section (6 total), may be assigned any of the functions listed below.
There are two classes of buttons:

• Those that assign a dedicated function to a button directly, such as ‘Def State’ (default state)

or ‘Clear’.

• Those that define a variable function, such as ‘Destination’. Additional options display

enabling you to define the variables.

Select from the following button options:

XY only

Selects a destination device. Choose a

destination from the drop-down list. An
optional ‘Level Set Filter’ may be selected
to limit the devices that display to only

those in the selected level sets.

Shows the status of a specific level on the
display. When a level button is assigned, a

‘Virtual Level’ drop-down menu appears.
Choose one of the levels or ‘none’.

Toggles between the default name set and

Panel Lock

XY, MD

Prevents accidental changes to the control
panel settings. When the control panel is

locked, the button array becomes blank
except for the Panel Lock button.

Salvo

XY, MD

Places the control panel in ‘Salvo’ mode.

The button is required if you want access to
system salvos.
When you assign ‘Salvo’ to a button, a

drop-down list appears in which you select
a salvo ID.

Source

XY, MD

Loads a predefined source device into the

preset column, ready for selection by
pressing Take.
When you assign ‘Source’ to a button, a

drop-down list appears in which you select
a source(s). Select a level from ‘Level Set
Filter’ to limit the sources to only those

assigned to that level. (The same is true if
selecting destinations in multi-destination
mode.)

Undefined

Makes the button undefined and inactive. It
will remain unlit.
