B. Control Panels
The NV9000-SE system enables you to configure several hardware and software control panels.
For a description of each panel, refer to the corresponding section title. For instructions on config-
uring a panel, see
NV9601
The NV9601 is an X-Y/multi-destination control panel featuring a 42 characters by 8 lines display:

This 2RU panel is organized as follows:
• Function buttons
—
two sets of eight buttons that can each be assigned one of 26 functions.
• Display
—
generally, the display is divided into 4 columns (Entry, Preset, Status, Level/Dest).
• Entry
—
contains mode, status, and data entry fields.
• Preset
—
the source (levels) that are to be assigned to the current destination.
A source appears in the ‘Preset’ column when the user selects a new source. When a source
is preset, the
Take
button becomes enabled.
• Status
—
the source (levels) currently assigned to the current destination.
• Level/Dest
—
contains destination information.
In X-Y mode, this column displays the levels associated with the current destination. In
multi-destination mode, the display shows an 8-destination segment of the destination list
(those defined for multi-destination mode).
The columns include various indicators such as L (locked), P (protected) and + (information avail-
able). (The display does not use columns when you are using the menu or displaying information.)
• Scroll buttons

normally
Page up
and
Page Down
buttons that scroll through lists of more than
8 items. Such lists include levels, destinations, and salvos.
