Locating and Viewing Aliases

The ‘Aliases’ table, accessed through the ‘Views’ pane, lists all aliases in one convenient interface.

How to Locate and View Aliases

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Aliases’. The ‘Aliases’ table

appears, as shown in Figure 18-2.

All aliases currently defined in the system are listed. To narrow the list, enter the first characters
of the alias’s name in the ‘Mnemonic Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display
only aliases matching that character string.

Each alias is listed, one alias per row. Each column displays information about the alias, as fol-
lows:

Field

Description

ID

Lists the ID number associated with the host computer

Physical Level

The physical level for the input port.

Input ports are identified by port number

and physical level. For more information on physical levels, see

Input Port

The number of the input port.

Mnemonic

The name assigned to the port.
