Locating and Viewing Existing Tieline Details
6 Using your mouse pointer, draw an arrow from the downstream port to the upstream port. (See
Using the ‘Tieline Details’ Page
on page 460.) Multiple downstream ports may be mapped to
one upstream port, but multiple downstream ports cannot be mapped to multiple upstream ports
(and vice versa). If no ports are listed (e.g. numbered box), there are no ports available for the
tieline.
As each port is selected, you can click on the arrow to activate the ‘Virtual ‘Levels’ and ‘Signal
Types’ sections and view the corresponding virtual levels and signal types for that port.
7 (Optional) In the ‘Virtual Levels’ section, check the check box next to each virtual level that
represent the signal types you want to “bind” to the tieline.(See
The signals associated with the virtual level display in the ‘Signal Types’ section.
8 Repeat step 5 through 7 until all tielines have been created. To remove a tieline, select the arrow
and then press
Delete
on your keyboard.
9 Click
Save
.
10 Click
X
on the window title tab to close the page.
Locating and Viewing Existing Tieline Details
Depending on the information you want to view, different pages or tables present different tieline
information. The ‘Tielines’ page, accessed through the ‘Configuration’ pane, lists all existing
tielines. From this page you can open the ‘Tielines Details’ page to view a graphic representation of
the tieline and the signals and levels involved. See

Six tables, accessed through the ‘Views’ pane, present specific tieline information. These tables are
for reference purposes only, with the exception of the ‘Tieline’ table, which can be used to update

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Tielines’. The ‘Tielines’
page displays, as shown in Figure 16-5. All tielines currently defined in the system are listed.
