Creating and Deleting Virtual Levels

A virtual level is a signal type abstraction that can be applied to all routers and devices. (See

Physi-

cal Levels vs. Virtual Levels

on page 112.) Each virtual level represents a signal type, such as HD

or AES. Virtual levels can be created using the ‘Level Sets’ page accessed through the ‘Configura-
tion’ pane or the ‘Virtual Levels’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane. Virtual levels can only
be deleted from the NV9000-SE system using the ‘Virtual Levels’ table. Once a virtual level is
deleted, it is automatically removed from all level sets to which it was previously added.
